Canadian Orders Temporarily Suspended Due to 50% Tariff Levied on Jewelry
As I am sure many of you have heard, due to the trade war between the US and Canada, each country is now imposing a 50% tariff on a specific list of products. Unfortunately, jewelry is among the affected items.
The US has already begun implementing the 50% fee on many Canadian goods, and Canada will begin applying their 50% fee starting September 8th. While I truly treasure my relationships with my Canadian clients, it saddens me to inform you that I must temporarily suspend accepting and processing orders from Canada effective immediately. I cannot, in good conscience, continue to take orders without knowing what your final fees will be, and I certainly don’t want you to pay more than you already are.
My Canadian clients have always shown incredible support, and this decision was not made lightly. Please rest assured that as soon as there are positive changes regarding US imports into Canada, I will immediately inform you when I can resume taking your orders and crafting jewelry for you once more.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this time, and for allowing my small business to be a part of your lives. I look forward to the day something changes with this ridiculous trade war so I can work with my Canadian friends again soon.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
