The quiet beauty of the whimsical bloom of the dogwood tree is evident in this artisan-made flowering dogwood necklace.
Hand-wrought from recycled sterling silver, each uniquely notched flower petal is hand-sculpted, textured, and soldered together to form the dogwood flower that is set with a glowing peridot. The dogwood flower is nestled among detailed sterling silver leaves that embrace two small dogwood flower "blooms" represented by two freshwater cultured button pearls. The floral centerpiece suspends from an 18-inch sterling silver cable chain.
Dogwood flowers are a unique bloom that are often symbols of rebirth and are tied to Easter. In the Victorian era, lovers would give each other the dogwood flower to symbolize that their love could endure any trial that came their way.
