Nature and vintage-inspired handcrafted artisan abalone and mother-of-pearl-jewelry
handmade using recycled sterling silver and recycled 14kt gold.

Although both come from shells, abalone refers to the shell itself, while mother-of-pearl
refers to the layer of nacre that a pearl was attached to while in the shell.

Mother-of-pearl is sometimes used as a birthstone for those born in the month of June, 
and it is also the gemstone that is traditionally given on the first wedding anniversary.
